Problem 5; Lantern

I chose a sphere shaped lantern for my design. The hardest part of creating this lantern was the inner sphere that supported the whole design.

SUBTRACT and CONSTRICT

My word individual word was subtract. I started out a bit rocky with my ideas but by the end I had some very creative ideas. I like the way my boards turned out!

Our group word was constrict, we used a variety of methods to get out letters built and we had a hard time picking a location but the final product was very pleasing!

Reflection on Representations...as well as Class Representations

The hardest part of this whole project is the vas number of representations we must produce...I noticed in my own representations that I had a hard time creating certain differences. When I looked at other students representations I noticed that people chose different ways and styles of showing their ideas.

"The product is good for many reasons, but for me I don't like the bulkiness because I would use it while rowing or running so I would need something lighter."

"The material appears to be light weight but in actuality the watch it pretty heavy for its design." 

DEEP DIVE...WHAT I LEARNED

Creativity was key at IDEO, the people working there are constantly thinking in terms of creation. Each individual had ideas...some hair brained and others promising and very efficient. When it comes to new inventions possibilities are endless because the product is "new". Overall I learned that the need for new products and designs will never fall short and each generation will have the desire for newer inventions.
